Rinse the basmati rice in a fine-mesh strainer under cold running water until the water runs clear.
Add the rinsed rice and the appropriate amount of water to your Instant Pot. Close the Instant Pot lid securely.
Select the "Rice" button on your Instant Pot to start the cooking process.
Once the cooking cycle is complete, release the pressure quickly by turning the steam release valve to the "Venting" position. Be careful of the hot steam.
After the pressure has been released and the float valve has dropped, carefully open the Instant Pot lid. To prevent the rice from becoming too sticky, drape a clean tea towel over the top of the rice in the Instant Pot. Place the Instant Pot lid back on top of the tea towel to cover it.
Allow the rice to rest for at least five minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes. This will help the rice steam and fluff up.
Remove the lid and tea towel, stir in the cilantro and lime juice. Serve and enjoy!
